Zero turnover on an MTD for ITSA preview typically stems from unmapped accounts. QuickBooks Online maps specific chart of accounts categories to HMRC’s ITSA categories. If the invoice income account isn't mapped to the Turnover / Business Income box in Self-Assessment setup, the MTD preview module will show zero.

To check the setup, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to Income Tax on your left dashboard.
  2. Look for the Tax Mapping or Self-Assessment Summary setup.
  3. Ensure that the specific Revenue/Sales account is actively mapped to the Turnover / Business Income box for that specific source stream. If the account is unmapped, its value defaults to zero in the MTD calculation.

However, if the mapping setup is correct, try opening QuickBooks Online in an incognito window or a different browser. This helps rule out any browser-related issues.
