How can I add a Detail Type on my Chart of Accounts?

You're referring to adding the Detail Type column in the Chart of Accounts page? If so, the steps to do this are pretty quick and easy.

Here's how:

1. In QuickBooks Online (QBO), go to the Accounting menu at the left pane to get to the Chart of Accounts.
2. Click the Gear icon at the upper right.
3. In the drop-down, place a checkmark on the Detail Type.
