Hello there, @jolaniesmith95.

I'll make sure to display the correct VAT registration number of your company while creating invoices in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

The VAT registration number used on invoices is taken directly from the identification number entered into your sales tax settings. Let's review and change it to display the correct information about your company.

  1. Go to Taxes.
  2. Select Sales Tax.
  3. On the Tax section, select the Edit VAT button.
  4. Choose Edit settings.
  5. Enter the correct VAT registration number in the Business ID No. txt area.
  6. Click Save.

Kindly read and use this article to learn more about your tax identification number on sales forms such as invoices: Set up Sales VAT Rates and Use them on Forms in QuickBooks Online.

Now that you start tracking VAT on your sales transactions, QuickBooks prepares a report for you to use. Here's what you need to review while preparing the return of taxes owed to your sales tax agency: How to File and Pay the Tax/VAT Owed using QuickBooks?.

Let me know in the comments below if you've got questions about VAT in QuickBooks. Mention my name, @JonpriL, in your reply and I wish you continued success, @jolaniesmith95-g!
