WooCommerce app - no longer allowing you to assign a customer eg sales to "online sales" instead it now makes a new contact card/customer card for every single person

is there an option to go back to this, it is very annnoying having all these contact cards created individually for every single person who makes a online purchase. it appears this feature is missing now since the update, can anyone confirm?

I completely hear your frustration, cfakes. May I ask if you're using the official QuickBooks Connector (OneSaas) integration? Also, did you recently have to reconnect the app, or did this setting change on its own?

If you are using the official connector, please know that this feature is still available. While the system may have defaulted to creating an "Original Customer" for each sale, you can revert this by following these steps:

  1. Go to All Apps, then click Accounting.
  2. On the Integration transactions page, select the WooCommerce app.
  3. Navigate to the Manage tab.
  4. Select the specific workflow used to sync your orders.
  5. Locate the Default Product and Advanced Options section.
  6. Change the customer record setting from "Original Customer" to the Generic Online Sale Customer option.
  7. This ensures all future sales sync to a single, generic "WooCommerce" record.
  8. Click Save to apply your changes.

You can visit this article for more reference: Connect WooCommerce to QuickBooks Online with QuickBooks Connector (OneSaas).

If you happen to be using a different third-party app to connect WooCommerce, the settings menu might look a bit different.

Please know that the QuickBooks Team is always here if you need anything else.
