Hello there, Nishanth.

Yes, you can add and manage your fixed assets in QuickBooks Online (QBO) Advanced. However, please note that QBO doesn't have a the option to directly add individual asset details.

As a workaround, you can use the subaccount feature to track individual assets under categories like IT equipment, Vehicles, or Office Equipment, with balances rolled up into the Parent account for clearer totals and streamlined financial data.

Here's how:

  1. Navigate to the Gear Icon on the upper right corner.
  2. Select Charts of accounts.
  3. Click on the New account button.
  4. Enter a name in the Account name field, and choose the appropriate Account type and Detail type.
  5. Tick the Make this a subaccount then choose a Parent account such as IT, Vehicle, Office equipment.
  6. Once done, click Save.

After you've created both the Parent accounts and subaccounts, you can proceed to adding and managing your fixed assets with QuickBooks.

We also recommend consulting an accounting professional to ensure accurate categorization, minimize errors, and maintain compliance with auditing and financial standards.
