You cannot customize the Transfer template because it is a fixed, built-in feature of the software. However, you can record your check number in the Memo box to maintain your records.
The Transfer page is a standardized utility designed for quick internal movements between accounts. Unlike invoices or bills, it is not a customizable form; therefore, new fields, such as a "Reference No." box, cannot be added to the layout.
To ensure your check number is captured:
Fill out the Transfer form as usual.
Locate the Memo field at the bottom of the screen.
Type your information (e.g., "Cheque #101") directly into that field.
Click Save and close.
By utilizing the Memo box, the check number remains linked to the transaction, appearing in both your Bank Register and general ledger reports. This maintains a complete audit trail without requiring changes to the system's design.
