I can no longer create invoices because I need a tax code which I don't need. How do I work around this?

You can add a no-tax code in QuickBooks Online by creating a tax rate, @olaenterprise.

Beforehand, note that if your tax option for creating invoices is set to Exclusive or Inclusive, a tax code is required. Since tax isn't needed, you can either create a 0% tax code or switch your tax option to Out of Scope of Tax.

To create, here's how:

  1. Go to the Tax section and click Add tax.
  2. Select the Tax rate.
  3. Choose a tax name and tax agency, then set the Sales rate to 0%.
  4. Click Save, and make sure to select the newly created tax code when creating an invoice.
