Let us share some details about uploading receipts in QuickBooks Online (QBO), Richard.

The Receipts feature is available only in certain countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Singapore, South Africa, and Australia. Could you let us know which QBO region you are using? This will help us confirm whether the Receipts feature is accessible in the Transactions tab. See the screenshot for your reference:

In the meantime, we can manually add receipts and expenses to QBO through the mobile app. Here's how:

  1. Open the QBO mobile app and click the Menu icon.
  2. Choose Expenses, then Add expense or the plus sign icon.
  3. Select the camera icon to take or attach a photo of your receipt to the expense.
  4. Enter the details of the expense, including who you paid, how much you paid, when you paid, and which account you paid from.
  5. Choose a Type of expense. This helps with categorisation. If you want to create a new expense category, hit the plus sign icon.
  6. Enter the tax rate, a short description of the expense, and a reference number.
  7. Press Save.

You can split expenses into multiple categories or amounts by selecting Split. To learn more about this one, you can check out this article: Attach receipts to expenses in the QuickBooks Online mobile app.

Feel free to revisit this post if you have any further questions about uploading your receipts or QuickBooks-related concerns.
