Your customers need to click the View details option to see the invoice description, mtnfire. But there are a few things you'll want to check prior to ensure the said information will show up.

QuickBooks Online (QBO) doesn't display the invoice description directly when emailed. You'll want to ensure the Show full details in email option is enabled in the Account and settings.

    Here's how:

    1. From the Account and settings, click the Sales tab.
    2. In the Online delivery section, select the Pencil icon to edit.
    3. Check the Show full details in the email.
    4.  Click Save, then Done after.

On top of that, verify that the Description box is selected on your invoice template. Let me show the steps:

    1. Navigate to the Gear icon, select Custom form styles.
    2. Find the invoice template you are using, and click Edit.
    3. Under the Content tab, select the second box.
    4. Check the Description box, and click Done.
In case you'd like to send invoices via text message for a faster and more convenient option, see this article for reference: Sending an Invoice by Text Message.
