In QuickBooks Online (QBO), we can organize inventory items using categories, Krishna. This helps streamline and simplify product management.

Since your product has multiple variants and you prefer to track inventory for each one separately, you'll need to create individual inventory items for each variant.

This approach allows you to efficiently manage stock, sales, and details for each variant independently.

Here's how to create an inventory item:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select the Products and Services.
  3. In the New dropdown, click on the Inventory item.
  4. Save and close once done.

Since you have only one product, you should consider creating a bundle that groups all your variants (which are made as separate inventory items). Bundling is ideal when you need to sell those variants under a single product name, simplifying sales transactions and inventory tracking.

Here's how to create a bundle:

  1. Click on the Gear icon.
  2. Choose Products and Services from the menu.
  3. Select Bundle from the New dropdown.
  4. Provide a name for the bundle (e.g., "Your Product Name"). Include all your product variants within the bundle.
  5. Click Save and close when finished.

This way, you can manage your single product and its variants more efficiently while maintaining accurate inventory counts.
