Hi there, @accounts642. Yes, you can definitely do this in QuickBooks Online.

QuickBooks uses a feature called Custom Transaction Numbers, which allows you to manually set an invoice number; once you do, the system will automatically increment by one for every invoice after that.

Here is how to set it up:

  1. Click the Gear icon in the top right corner.
  2. Select Account and Settings.
  3. Click on the Sales tab from the left-hand menu.
  4. Look for the Sales form content section and click to edit.
  5. Toggle the switch for Custom transaction numbers to On.
  6. Click Save and then Done.                                          image.png

Once done, you’ll need to set the starting number. Here’s how:

  1. Go to + Create and select Invoice.
  2. In the Invoice no. field, type your starting number.
  3. Fill out the rest of the invoice and click Save and close.                    image.png

Once you save that invoice, QuickBooks will remember the sequence. Let me know if you have additional questions or need assistance with QuickBooks. We’re available 24/7 to further assist you.
