To find out who made a payment to you, check the payment transaction and the deposit location in QuickBooks.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Accounting tab and select Bank transactions.
  2. Choose the specific payment to expand the details.
  3. Look at the Bank detail or Memo section. Banks often include a customer name, business name, or reference number in this area.

Additionally, you can view the transaction information directly in QuickBooks and in the Merchant Service Center.

Here's how to do it:

  1. Select the Gear icon and choose Account and settings.
  2. Go to the Payments tab and select Manage details. This will open your Merchant account in a new tab.
  3. Choose Transactions from the Activity & Reports menu.
  4. Find the payment and select it to see extra details, including the name, email, or the last 4 digits of the card used.

Once you complete these steps, you’ll be able to determine who sent you the payment.

I’d be glad to help you more if you have any other questions or concerns besides Intuit payments.
