To ensure I provide the right solution, could you clarify what happens when you try to search? For example, is the search field greyed out, or does the account simply not appear in the results?

 

In the meantime, note that search results only display accounts that have already been created. Please check your Chart of Accounts to verify that the specific GL code exists and is marked as Active.

 

If you are searching by the code rather than the name, you must ensure account numbers are enabled so the system can index them. To do this, navigate to the Gear icon > Account and settings > Advanced > Chart of Accounts > Edit. From there, toggle on Enable account numbers and check the Show account numbers box. After clicking Save, try searching for the account again.

 

If the settings are correct but the issue persists, try logging out and signing back in. This refreshes your session and ensures all recent changes to your COA are synced with the server.
