Connecting your UOB Infinity account takes only a few steps and I'm here to guide you how, aroontan.
QuickBooks automatically downloads and categorises bank and credit card transactions once you connect your account. To connect your bank, follow the steps below.
Go to the Banking menu, select the Banking tab.
Click Connect Account on the landing page if this is your first time connecting. Or select Add account or Link account if you've already created one.
Search for your bank. You can connect with most banks, even small credit unions.
Select Continue. Enter the username and password you use for your bank's website in the window.
Follow the onscreen steps to connect. Your bank may require additional security checks. It may take a few minutes to connect.
Select the bank or credit card accounts you want to connect (savings, current, or credit card). You should see all of your available accounts at your bank or credit card company.
For each account, you connect, select the matching account type from the dropdowns. These are accounts on your chart of accounts in QuickBooks.
Select how far back you want to download transactions. Some banks let you download the last 90 days of transactions. Others can go back as far as 24 months.
I tried to link up with UOB infinity as well but quickbooks require a group id on top of my bank's id and password. I've tried using my company's UEN( registration) error message 101 stating couldnt connect to the bank. Please advise whats the problem and/or what exactly is group ID as i cant be sure.
Welcome to the QuickBooks Community, @kencoliving.
Let's get rid of the error message so you can connect your UOB infinity bank to QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Banking error 101 happens when you try adding an inactive bank account with no transactions for the last 12 months, and you're unable to accept the terms and agreements from your online banking website.
To get this fixed, you'll want to log in to your bank's website to check if you can get in without any errors. Once you're logged in, review your account and ensure it's active. Also, check for existing balances, or transactions in the past 12 months. And review the bank’s website and look for messages that need your confirmation.
Once done, you can log in to your QBO account and connect your UOB infinity bank account.
On the other hand, I recommend reaching out to the UOB infinity bank support team to inquire about the Group ID. Please know that QuickBooks only depends on your bank's verification process when connecting bank accounts.
Once your bank account is connected, QuickBooks will automatically download the last 90 days of transactions. Then, categorize them to put in the correct accounts.
Should you need any additional assistance connecting your bank accounts, you can leave a comment below. I'll be sure to get back to you, @kencoliving.
Thank you for your reply. The only UOB options are BIBPlus (replaced by Infinity DEC 2020) or personal banking. UOB now has Infinity which is not listed as a Connect Account. UOB Infinity is one of the main bank services for Commercial Banking.
I'll help you get around this issue and connect your UOB Infinity bank, Swee Kheng.
QuickBooks Online (QBO) depends on the information provided by your bank. Thus, the system still shows the old link. Rest assured, our Engineering team is working with your bank to have this update roll out in the future.
Additionally, you can also send a request to have the UOB Infinity supported in QBO. I'd be glad to show you how.
Go to the Banking or Transactions menu.
Click Add account.
Search for the name of your financial institution.
If you’re still unable to find your bank, select Request support for your bank.
Enter your bank's web address (URL) in the field provided, then select Request.
You can count on me whenever you need assistance managing your bank and transactions. I'll be more than happy to work with you again. Have a good one and keep safe.
Hi, Any update on this? Still can not see UOB INfinity as an option and it's so frustrating. It has been months, can you resolve this ASAP or else I am taking my business somewhere else.
I know it has been months since we posted the original thread and still no resolution from Quickbooks. It seems that Quickbooks Users who are UOB Business Bank users are unimportant to their business. We are also looking at other options as well. If they plan not to solve it, then at least tell us so that we can make the necessary business decision.
Hi, Any update on this? Still can not see UOB INfinity as an option and it's so frustrating. It has been months, can you resolve this ASAP or else I am taking my business somewhere else.
Allow me to share with you some information about connecting your UOB Infinity account.
We currently don't receive any updates about connecting the UOB Infinity account into QuickBooks Online. We're unable to provide a timeframe on when this will be available.
As soon as the UOB Infinity is available in QuickBooks Online, I will certainly be back in the thread and give you an update.
Why is it taking MONTHS AND MONTHS to connect one of the major business bank accounts in Singapore? Why are we paying for Quickbooks? I'm a new customer and if I had know I might have made a different decision... Absolutely ridiculous.
I'll share insight into your query about connecting UOB Infinity in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
As I've mentioned and my colleague above, we haven't received any updates about connecting the UOB Infinity account to QuickBooks Online. We're unable to provide a timeframe for when this will be available. As soon as this becomes available in QuickBooks Online, I will certainly be back in the thread and give you an update.
If you encounter any other errors during this process, I suggest you refer to this article: Fix bank upload errors in QuickBooks Online. It has a list of common errors you may encounter during a CSV file upload, along with the steps on how you can resolve them.
Keep me posted if there's anything else you need about connecting the UOB Infinity account to QuickBooks. I'm always right here to provide answers to your questions.
Please explain what you mean by "We currently haven't received any updates about connecting the UOB Infinity account to QuickBooks Online"
Thus, allow me to ask more specific questions:
1) Is integration between QBO and UOB Infinity planned? 2) If yes, what is causing the delay of more than 2 years since BIB Plus was phased out? 3) If no, why not?
UOB Infinity is already integrated with Zero and other systems so one has to wonder why QBO is not making a basic integration available to one of the regions' largest commercial bank.
Please refrain from copying and pasting canned responses and please explain why us users have to wait for years for a basic feature.
I understand that things have been challenging for you and that it's not the sort of experience we want you to have while connecting your UOB Infinity account to QuickBooks Online (QBO).
At this time, we're unable to provide a timeframe for when this will be available. I know it's been a while, but I assure you, we are doing our best to get you back on track in no time.
In this case, I suggest using the Request support for your bank option as a sign of petition to add your bank as one of the supported financial institutions that can be connected with QuickBooks Online (QBO). Here's how:
From the Banking menu or Transactions menu.
Select Add account.
Search for the name of your financial institution.
If you’re still unable to find your bank, select Request support for your bank.
Enter your bank's web address (URL) in the field provided, then select Request.
When a request is submitted, our engineering will reach out to your bank and check if integration is possible. Adding it to the list of participating is a mutual decision between your bank and QuickBooks.
Additionally, II'd recommend contacting your financial institution to have the best possible solution for your bank connectivity.
We appreciate your patience as we're working on this integration. Please let me know in the comments below if you have any other questions. Take care and stay safe!
