Question

Upon updating a bank feed I keep on getting a 9999 error message. When I checked for this error on the web, I see they advise reporting it on the error message?

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, balancedacc,

The error 9999 is a script error that interrupts the connection between your bank and QuickBooks Online. If you see the Report Issue option, select it to notify us of the problem. Our Product Team will work on it to fix the issue.

If not, let's perform some troubleshooting steps by clearing the cache the browser's cache and cookies. This will help remove saved files on your website.

If you're getting the same results, you can bring in your transactions through WebConnect. Check out this article: How to upload more than 90 days of bank transactions for instructions and detailed steps.

Also, I highly suggest contacting our QuickBooks Online Support Team. They can check and further investigate what's interrupting the connection between your bank and QuickBooks.

Here's how to get in touch with them:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Go to Help (?).
  3. Select Contact Us.
  4. Enter your concern, then select Let's talk.
  5. Choose a way to connect with us.

I've added this link, What to do if you see a bank error or bank transactions won’t download for additional reference.

Feel free to leave a comment below if you have any other questions.. I'll be happy to help you.

Thank you and stay safe!
