Question

How do I permanently remove a QuickBooks account as I have 2 of the same and I only need one. The one I want to delete was a trial account. It still shows up on signup

Good day, nturunen.

I'll show you how you can remove the trial account.  Let's start by logging in so we can cancel it out. Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon and select Account and Settings.
  2. Go to the Billing and Subscription tab.
  3. Click Cancel your trial.
  4. Click Continue to cancel.

Once cancelled, the second account will moved to the Cancelled Companies section after logging in. It'll stay there and will become a read-only file for 90 days. Then, it will be permanently deleted after the said period.

For more details, let me share this article: What Happens To My QuickBooks Online Data After I Cancel?.

I'll be around if you need more help with QuickBooks.
