I am after a report that compares income with time activities

Hi melanie15,

The Time Activities by Customer Detail report shows the hours worked for the activities with the corresponding amount. Let's go ahead and pull it up:

Go to Reports.
Type Time Activities by Customer Detail in the search field.
Select the Report period and click on Run report.

The Duration column shows the total hours worked. You can also find more customisation options by clicking on the Customise button.

Saving this custom report would be a great idea. That way, you don't have to repeat the steps above. Then, it can easily be access in the Custom reports tab.

Thanks but this is only half my question.

I want to compare the time activity expense to the income.

Hi there, melanie15.

For now, there isn't a single report in QBO that will compare your time expenses and the income that were generated from them. Though, you can run the Sales by Product/Service Detail report. Then, compare it to the Time Activities By Customer Detail report.

Here's how:

Look for Sales by Product/Service Detail in the Reports menu.
Click Customize, then scroll-down to the Filter section.
Check the Product/Service box and select Hours or the service item that you're using for time activities.
Click Run Report.
