Has anyone else noticed how the dashboard Profit & Loss now doesn't show financial year data? Do we know why this change?

Hi karmaspages78,

There is a reported product investigation with expense graph in the QBO Dashboard not showing correct figures. This might be related to your issue in the Profit and Loss. I recommend contacting our Customer Care Team. That way, they can check your account and escalate the behavior encountered to our engineers for a fix. Since we are on a public space we cannot ask for your details for security purposes.

To contact support:

  1. Click on the Help (?) icon.
  2. Select Assistant and enter Contact support in the chat field, and then click the Send icon.
  3. You'll be asked about your concern, and you'll need to enter and send it.
  4. If you can't see any related topics to your issue on what they shared, select No, get me a human.
  5. Then, click Contact Us.
  6. Choose either Callback or Chat.

HI, thanks for your reply.  I already contacted your Customer Service and the person who answered my call, didn't know anything about it and didn't believe me that this was an issue and that the financial year options were available before, instead he said that it was by design and that only current calendar year data was available through the dashboard.  hence me reaching out in this forum.  Is there a way this issue can be added to that investigation?  Or open a new one?  Thanks

Thanks for getting back to us.

Appreciate the information you've provided when contacting the customer care team. I'll check other options about your concern.

Let's also check your company settings to verify the financial year set up. Here's how:

  1. Click on the Settings icon.
  2. Click on Account and Settings.
  3. Click on Advanced tab.
  4. Click on Accounting section and locate First month of financial year is set to July.
  5. And First month of tax year is Same as financial year.
  6. Click on Save.

Then, check your Dashboard once more to verify if it is udpated now. If the current set up is the same above, let's toggle it to a diferent month, then Save. Then, switch it back to July and save it once more. Now verify the dashboard page if this makes a difference.

Send a reply in this thread if you need more  help with QuickBooks.
