Question

Why does the Account List in the modern view only show balances in functional currencies, not the original currencies, like the classic view?

The Modern View is built on a newly redesigned platform that defaults to displaying all account balances in your functional (home) currency for consolidation purposes. Because all amounts are converted to the same currency, the system can now provide an accurate Total Balance at the bottom of the list, something that wasn't mathematically possible in the Classic view when adding different currencies together.

Rest assured, your data is completely safe. This is purely a visual change to the main list, and the original currency of each account is still indicated in the Currency column for your reference.

To view a specific balance or transaction breakdown in its original currency, you can easily do so right from your Chart of Accounts (COA) and select Account history (or View Register).

If you need a hard copy or a complete overview, you can print the page by clicking the Printer icon on the specific account screen in your COA.

Let me know if you have any other questions or need help navigating the new view. I'd be happy to lend a hand.
