Hi Dac. A single missing detail can prevent QuickBooks from saving the update.

I suggest double-checking every field in the billing or company address section to ensure accuracy. You can follow the QuickBooks suggested and validated address, if applicable.

If the system still won't correct, you can transfer the subscription to them by first making them the Primary Admin of their file. Once done, follow these steps in your QuickBooks Accountant account to move the subscription.

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) Accountant account.
  2. Go to Settings and select Subscriptions and billing.
  3. Click the Accountant-billed subscriptions tab.
  4. Choose the client you want to remove.
  5. From the Action column dropdown, select Transfer billing to client.
  6. Pick Confirm transfer.

If the client is currently inactive, make them active before following these steps. After the process, your client will have read-only access to their QuickBooks company until they update their billing info.

Alternatively, your client can take over the billing directly through their QuickBooks Online account.
