They will be prompted to create a password when users click on the Let's go hyperlink in their invitation email. That said, the user will generate their own password. All you have to do is invite them. Just make sure that their email is new in QuickBooks.
Go as follows:
Go to the Gear icon and select Manage users.
Click the Add user tab and pick a user type.
Hit Next.
Complete the contact info window and click Save.
After that, let your customer follow the steps below:
Open the invitation email and click Let's go!
Complete the Name, Phone, Password, and Security questions.
If there is no option to create an account, it means that the email address is not new to QuickBooks. If they don't remember their password, I'd recommend resetting it. For more details, see this link: Change your email, user ID, or password for QuickBooks Online.
In addition, once they accept the invitation, they will have access to your account. You'll want to advise them to log in using this link: Sign In - QuickBooks - Intuit.
