After learning about your business, I understand that you have to manage multiple things and keep on top of your priorities. Because you're a CTO and Co-Founder of a business, I would love to know what your favourite tool is for managing your business day-to-day? Do you use apps? Do you use something simple; a diary? A calendar? What's the one tool you couldn't live without? :)
I am a lover of the Outlook calendar and I also love keeping a handwritten version of a calendar too(a good back up in case things ever go wrong!). To-do lists are also something I create every single day, they help me keep organised and accountable for my workload. Ticking things off a to-do list is so satisfying, don't you think?
Shahji it would be so interesting to get your take on this question after chatting about your business. Do you have any favourite tools to help you manage your business?
I think it would be really interesting to have your perspective on this question... What is your favourite tool to manage your business and keep organised?
I have just had a research and that app looks great! Do you use it to schedule your accountancy to-dos? Do you allow anyone else onto the app? It says you can have up to 15 members on the app! :)
I do love using online apps for keeping organised but I also love my written diary. Do you use any written organisation tips?
I use QuickBooks Work under the Accountant profile. It allows me to manage migrations we have for many of our clients transitioning from other accountancy packages onto QuickBooks Online. I have a very bad memory so this helps me remember deadlines etc. We also use Slack as a firm which can integrates with this feature of QuickBooks Online (as well as outside it). Its a great way of keeping in touch with the whole office through an online portal and keeping them up to date with what clients are nearly ready to be transitioned over to QuickBooks, VAT deadlines and many other tasks.
Alongside the digital tools I use, I also have a good old fashioned handwritten diary as well as my Outlook 365 calendar. If one system fails, the other is always there for a back up. I love having a to do list on my desk so I can check off anything that needs doing during the day in order of priority or a post it note on my monitor always works wonders.
Kind Regards,
Emily Mockett
