Hi Melwynn, welcome back.

What you should do when you see an error while uploading your CSV bank statement into QuickBooks is follow these steps:

  • Remove any zeroes (0) from the file; leave those cells blank.
  • Correct any transactions that display numbers in the Description column.
  • Remove the word "amount" if it appears in the Credit or Debit column header. They should only read "Credit" and "Debit".
  • Mac users should save the file as a Windows CSV.
  • Make sure the dates use a single format. We recommend using dd/mm/yyyy.
