You can upgrade your account using the account Settings, Paul.

 

Before upgrading to QuickBooks Sole Trader, you must download and securely save all your reports and accounting information, as your old account will become unavailable. Be aware that some data won't transfer automatically, including Invoices, Suppliers, Tags, and third-party app connections.

 

To upgrade from QuickBooks Self-Employed to Sole Trader. Here's how:

 

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Self-Employed account.
  2. Go to the Gear icon and select Upgrade.
  3. Choose a plan for the Sole Trader column.
  4. Review the changes in features, then click Continue.
  5. Follow the on-screen steps.
