I cannot send my vat return because of an error message "You must also click save again to make this change that is prior to the closing date. How do I do this?

You'll want to make sure that the Close the books option doesn't have a date entered and turned off. This way, you'll be able to submit your VAT return without receiving the message.

Here's how:

1. Click the Gear icon, then select Account and Settings.
2. Go to the Advanced menu.
3. In the Accounting section, click the pencil icon to edit.
4. Remove the date entered in the Close the books option, then turn it off.
5. Click Save, then Done.
