Importing qb2015 to 2019 simple start

I have a old windows desktop version of qb2015. If I move to simple start online canning import customers and invoices etc.

Hello Michael ,

 

Once your account is migrated, you'll be able to see your customer lists, transactions, etc. Before that, we'll need you to upgrade to the latest QuickBooks Desktop version so we can proceed with the conversion. 


Here's a guide of the to-do list:

  1. Install a trial version of the latest QuickBooks Desktop version.
  2. Export your company file from QB 2015 to the trial version.
  3. Convert your company file to QuickBooks Online.

many thanks for your help.

 

its all gone wrong.

 

I downloaded qb desktop 2019 and it upgraded automatically, unfortunately when complete it said my database was not USA version which is correct. when I downloaded qb19 it asked for nationality and I selected UK which is correct. it has deleted qb15. im a bit stuck as I need what I had, any help please. thanks in advance

I'm with you in ensuring that you'll be able to convert your QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online successfully.

 

When downloading a free trial version of QuickBooks Desktop, you have the option to delete or keep your old data. In situations like this, to retrieve your QuickBooks 2015 files, you'll need to restore the backup copy of your company file, you have created any.

 

Once done, you can now proceed with converting your data by following the instructions found in this link: Move your QuickBooks Desktop file to QuickBooks Online.
