I currently use another app to track my mileage, is there a way to transfer this information on a monthly basis to the quick books self employed app please?

Hi there, Hayley30. I can show you the steps for importing your mileage from a third-party app to QuickBooks Self-employed (QBSE).

To assist you better, I would like to know more about what app you're using to track your mileage. If you're using MileIQ or Google Trips, you can easily import your trips directly.

Here's how:

  1. On the left side panel, click Miles.
  2. Select the Add trip dropdown button, then click Import trips.
  3. If you're using MilelQ, select MilelQ.
  4. If you're using Google trips, click Import Google trips.

However, if you're using a different app, you can manually add the trips.

Here's how:

  1. On the left side panel, click Miles.
  2. Select Add trip. Then, enter the Distance field.
  3. Select the Date of that trip.
  4. To edit the start and end address, click the pencil icon.
  5. Add a Trip purpose note.
  6. Once done, select Save.

In addition, you can refer to this article for detailed steps in tracking mileage automatically: Automatically track mileage in QBSE.

Leave a comment if you still have concerns about adding a trip in QBSE. I'm always available to help you.
