Let's perform some steps so you can download your Barclaycard transactions to QuickBooks Online (QBO), @mark.smith.
Here are the possible reasons the system isn't updating your account:
The bank is performing system maintenance.
There are notifications on your bank’s website that need your attention.
First, let's manually update your bank account. This refreshes the bank connection within QBO. Let me guide you.
Go to Banking from the left menu.
Select the blue tile for the bank account.
Click Update.
If prompted, enter your Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) credentials.
Hit Continue update.
Second, you can log in to your bank website. Then, check your account page for messages or alerts, such as new security requirements. Once reviewed, manually update the account again.
Third, if you make changes on the website, you'll have to update your Barclaycard sign-in information in the program. I'll guide you how.
Once downloaded, all you have to do is approve the way the software categorises the transactions. Then, match them against the entries in QuickBooks. For more information, check out this article: Categorising Bank Transactions.
