Hello there, Mark. There are two possible reasons why your data from 2021 to 2025 is missing. The first could be incorrect date filtering, and the second might be that your account has disconnected.

To verify this, let's first ensure your date filters are set correctly. Head to Transactions, click the Date dropdown, and choose Custom Date. Set the range from 2021 to 2025 to see if your data reappears.

If the transactions are still missing, your bank account may have been disconnected. To resolve this, let's reconnect your bank account to your QuickBooks Self-employed (QBSE) account.

Since some banks only allow 90 days of data to be downloaded, your older transactions may not pull through automatically. To recover the older transactions from 2021 to 2025, I recommend manually importing them using a laptop or computer instead of the mobile app.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Transactions menu.
  2. From the Account: drop-down menu, select the account you plan to upload transactions into.
  3. In the Date drop-down menu, select All.
  4. Select the Date column header to sort the list by date.
  5. Take note of the oldest transaction date in the account.

Once you have that date, you can export the missing data from your bank’s portal and upload it manually into QuickBooks. After the import is finished, your historical transactions will be back in your account. Please review for any duplicates and simply delete them. You can then categorise your transactions for accurate tax reporting and financial tracking.
