Will essential subscription allow me to setup re occurring invoices which automatically get sent monthly etc

Yes, a QuickBooks Online Essential subscription allows you to set up recurring invoices to automatically send to your customers, Luke.

 

If your invoices are in the new layout interface, let me guide you in setting up recurring entries:

 

  1. In your QBO account, navigate to the Gear icon and select Recurring transactions.
  2. From the Transaction Type dropdown, click New and select Invoice.
  3. On the invoice setup page, enter a template name and select Scheduled under the Type section.
  4. Specify the number of days in advance to create the invoice and enable the Automatically send emails option.
  5. In the Interval section, select Monthly to define the recurrence frequency and complete the remaining details.
  6. Once done, Save Template.
