Question

Does anyone know of a way to flag a transaction to bring it to the attention of a bookkeeper. Sometimes I enter and am unsure if correct.

I am a mere mortal, inexperienced in the fine details of tax law. Sometimes I enter information and am unsure of the correct category, code, gst etc. and would like to highlight that specific transaction so the bookkeeper can correct any mistakes.

Welcome to the Community space, John! I appreciate your humble sharing about being inexperienced in the area of tax law.

Currently, QuickBooks Online (QBO) does not have the feature to flag transactions when you're unsure about the category, code, GST, etc., in order to notify your bookkeeper.

In the meantime, you can manually record those transactions with uncertain accounting details in an Excel file. Once you've compiled the entries, you can send the file to your bookkeeper so they can review and correct them as necessary.
