Hello, Najibels. I’ll ensure you can categorize GST in your transactions.

The GST column in QuickBooks Online (QBO) will only appear during transaction categorization once GST has been set up in the system. If the GST setup is not configured, the column will be invisible, as there is no framework to apply it to your transactions.

To set up GST, here's how:

  1. Navigate to All apps in the left navigation panel and select GST.
  2. Choose Overview and click Get Started.
  3. Select the appropriate accounting method and Business Activity Statement (BAS) frequency that applies to your business.
  4. Toggle all the options that apply to your business.
  5. Click Save and finish.

For more detailed information on enabling GST in the program, please refer to this resource article: Set up GST in QBO.

Regarding the blank Accounting section, I recommend logging in using a private or incognito browser. Sometimes, outdated or corrupted files can cause display issues.

If logging in through incognito mode doesn’t resolve the issue, please restart your browser to clear any outdated processes and ensure updates take effect. A supported and up-to-date browser can also improve performance and security when working with QBO.

I’ll ensure this conversation remains open for any future updates and discussions.
