QB Online doesn't support multi warehouse feature. You need to have a 3rd party inventory management app to sync wuth QBO.

You are running into confusion because QuickBooks Online does not have a built-in Inventory Transfer button. To move inventory between branches, we use a two-step workaround using Location tracking and Inventory Adjustments.

 

Here's how to turn on location tracking:

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon in the upper right corner.
  2. Select Account and settings and choose Advanced.
  3. In the Categories section, click Edit.
  4. Turn on the Track locations switch to track locations.
  5. Then Save.

 

To move a product from Branch A to Branch B, you will use two Inventory Quantity Adjustments:

 

  1. Click +Create and select Inventory qty adjustment.
  2. Select the sending branch in the Location dropdown.
  3. In the product table, click the dropdown menu under PRODUCT/VARIANT and choose the specific item. If you leave this field blank and only enter numbers, QBO will show an error message that says, “Looks like you forgot something!” You need at least one line item to complete the transaction.
  4. Enter a negative change (e.g., -50) to remove the stock, then click Save.
  5. Create a second adjustment for the receiving branch and enter a positive change (e.g., 50) to add the stock there.
