It's not counting that as income twice, and I just need to fix it so it shows that it was not income it was me drawing on the account or transferring it to another account to make a payment, actually.

Hi there, @karen273. Please know that transactions downloaded in QuickBooks Online (QBO) as drawing or payment won't be categorized or matched to a sales receipt. Our system sees this as a spent entry rather than a received one. Unless it was manually uploaded, and you forgot to put a negative sign on the amount before importing.

I'd also like to know what specific area in QuickBooks you tried to change the categorization of the transaction. So we'll know why you're unable to transfer it.

The only way to fix it is to review the account that was categorized as a sales receipt, see if it's an incorrect entry by comparing it to your actual bank account. If so, you will need to Undo the categorization in the Bank feed before you can change it. Here's how:

    1. Go to the All apps tab and select Accounting.
    2. Pick Bank transactions and choose the account tile where the transactions are downloaded.
    3. Move to the Posted section and click the Undo option below the Action column.
    4. Once done, go back to the Pending section and re-categorize the transactions to the correct account.

However, if it's manually imported to QuickBooks, after you Undo this transaction, you can Exclude it to avoid ruining your bank balance. Then, re-upload the file. But before that, ensure to edit it and place a negative sign on the amount for drawing or payment transaction. Once done, categorize the transaction to the correct account.
