Why have we been paying for the QuickBooks and Turbo Tax plan of $34.99 a month, yet got charged again with Turbo Tax an additional $218 when we filed?

Hi Kabbs. The extra amount you see is related to the filing process. It happens when the system finds a need for more than just the basic service.
 

If you choose to get a professional review from a live CPA and file taxes in more than one state beyond what your plan covers, those services will cost extra. They are not included in your regular monthly subscription and will be charged as a one-time fee when you submit your tax return.


 

Moving forward, to avoid this, you can double-check your cart before the final to remove any professional services or protection plans that you might not actually need.
