Can I group the memo field on the first "x" matching charachters for a report ?

I understand the importance of organizing your data, ahuvainc. Currently, QuickBooks Online (QBO) does not have a built-in feature to group transactions in a report based on the first few characters of the Memo field.

The Memo field in QuickBooks is a free-text field, which means it is not intended for grouping purposes. However, there is a workaround you can use to achieve this. First, include the memo field in your customized report and then export the report to Excel. Once in Excel, you can utilize its tools to extract the first few characters of the memo text and group the data accordingly.
