Do you need to convert data from what program? QB Desktop or else?

Yes, you can. Before you start, add your new products, services, and customers to QuickBooks Online (QBO). Then, prepare a spreadsheet of your invoices so you can import them in batches of up to 100 at a time.

Keep these important details in mind before you import:

  • Sales tax: If you have already turned on sales tax in your account, you won't be able to import invoices.
  • Currency: If you haven't specified a currency for a new customer, QuickBooks defaults to USD. If you enable multicurrency, you can import invoices in different foreign currencies.
  • Each line item needs its own invoice number, customer, invoice date, due date, and item amount.
  • Each imported spreadsheet can contain up to 1,000 rows.
  • You can't add negative charges, such as discounts or credit memos.

When your spreadsheet is ready, you can follow the steps in this article to upload your files: Import multiple invoices at once.

Thank you.  I had imported the invoices successfully (the import indicated OK).  But when I try to view them (Sales / Invoices), I am only given the option to view as far back as 2025.
Can I view older invoices?
