I acknowledge the time you spent sharing this concern in the Community forum, Richard. You should be able to import your company file into QuickBooks Online, subject to the usual compatibility and data considerations.

Before we proceed, could you please clarify what you mean by QB 15? This will help us identify your exact QuickBooks version and provide you with the most accurate solution.

If you mean from QuickBooks Desktop 2015 to QuickBooks Online, yes, you can import the file by using the web-based migration tool or migrate using QBDT.

We must first select the appropriate link for your QuickBooks version:

After selecting the relevant option, click Get Started and sign in using your Intuit Account credentials. Once signed in, upload your company file by hitting the File and browsing to locate the QuickBooks Desktop file you want to migrate. You can also drag and drop the file to upload it.

Once your file is successfully uploaded, QuickBooks will automatically update it to the latest version of QuickBooks Desktop. Then, you’ll be ready to start migrating your file to QuickBooks Online.

From this point forward, the steps are the same as migrating directly from QBDT to QBO. Simply select Get Started and follow the on-screen prompts to finalize the migration you can check this article: Move your QuickBooks Desktop file to QuickBooks Online.

However, if you mean something else, feel free to share that here in the Community. Don't hesitate to reach out again if you encounter challenges; we'll be right here to help you any time. Take care!
