Invoices are not sent, why?

Hello there, Jimmy.

The Not Sent status on your invoices means that the email did not reach the recipient successfully. This can happen for several reasons:

  1. Email Delivery issue. If there were an internet interruption during sending or the email server experienced a temporary issue, the invoice will not be delivered successfully.
  2. Incorrect Email Address. If the recipient's email address is incorrect, invalid, or outdated, the system cannot process the email, and it will fail.

Before we proceed, can you confirm if you saw error messages when trying to send the invoice? If yes, please share them with us so we can pinpoint the issue more effectively.

To resolve this, you'll need to verify and correct the email address, then resend the invoice. Follow these steps:

  1. Go back to the Invoice in the QuickBooks account, then click Edit.
  2. Double-check the recipient's email address.
  3. Clear the field and carefully re-enter the correct email address to avoid typos or errors.
  4. Tap Send to resend the invoice.

Additionally, you can test the delivery by sending the invoice to your own email address first. If you don't receive it, use a different email address with a different domain for verification.

If the issue persists, you may need assistance from an IT expert. They can ensure that the QuickBooks email host names and IP addresses are listed to prevent emails from being flagged as spam.
