Good to see you here in QuickBooks Community, maryloupasto. I'm here to help and guide you on how to correct Error 1603. There are a few solutions that can correct this. So we will start by using the QuickBooks Tool Hub and setting up the Install Diagnostic Tool.

If you don't have the tool install already , here's how to download and install QuickBooks Tool Hub, follow the steps below:

  1. After restarting your desktop, download QuickBooks Tool Hub file.
  2. Open the downloaded file (QuickBooksToolHub.exe).
  3. Follow the on-screen instruction to agree to the terms and conditions.
  4. After the installation process, open the application by double-clicking the file icon on your desktop.

From there, let's run the diagnostic tool from the Tool Hub.

  1. Open the QuickBooks Tool Hub.
  2. In the tool hub, select Installation Issues.
  3. Select QuickBooks Install Diagnostic Tool. Let the tool run. It can take up to 20 minutes.
  4. When the tool finishes, restart your computer.

Once the computer is turned on, verify if the error is still occurring. If this is the case the next step will be to Update Windows. The steps can be found in this article below:

Let me know by adding a comment below if the issue was resolved. I'm always here to help. Have a good one.
