Question

Does anyone know how to change the date an invoice was paid? The self-employed software defaults to the date the invoice was due, not when it was actually paid.

Hi there, Jim.

I recognize the significance of managing invoices for your business. However, I want to let you know that there isn’t an option to mark an invoice as paid with a custom date in QBO Self-Employed. The system automatically sets the default due date when creating the invoice.

Alternatively, you can edit the paid invoice and update the due date to reflect the actual payment date. This adjustment will help indicate the date the invoice was paid.

If you’re looking for more flexibility in editing invoices and payment dates, consider upgrading to a more advanced version of QuickBooks Online. These versions offer enhanced features for effectively tracking invoices and payments.
