Hello there, Alison.

To adjust your 1099 totals, you’ll need to review the transactions and reclassify those that shouldn’t be included in the 1099 totals. If specific transactions shouldn't be part of the 1099 (like prepaids or journal entries), you can edit them and assign them to a non-1099 account (e.g., Prepaid Expenses or a non-mapped account).

You can check all transactions included in the 1099 totals by running the 1099 Transaction Detail Report.

Here's how:

1. Hover over to All apps, then Expenses & Bills.

2. Open 1099s.

3. Select Prep my own via QuickBooks.

4. Click the Confirm info and start filing.

5. Check all the accounts selected first before clicking Next.

6. Select the highlighted amount under the Reportable total to view the transactions.

The 1099 Transaction Detail Report shows all transactions, including journal entries or pre-paid amounts that might be incorrectly mapped, allowing you to identify and edit them to ensure accurate totals.
