I need this feature disabled for my account. I do not trust the accuracy of AI enough to handle any aspect of my business or finances. Considering the expense of AI responses, I assume you could save some money by making it optional.
While there isn't a single switch to turn off every AI feature in QuickBooks Online all at once, you can easily disable AI-powered bank categorization, which is often the main reason transactions get misclassified. Features like the Business Feed and Intuit Assist can't be turned off completely right now, but you can easily dismiss their updates and suggestions whenever they pop up.
Turning off AI-powered bank categorization (Accounting Agent)
This feature automatically categorizes your downloaded bank transactions using AI. Early on, before it gets used to your usual accounting habits, you might notice some suggestions aren't quite accurate. To turn off:

Turning off the Payroll Agent
If you use QuickBooks Payroll and want to turn off the Payroll AI agent, contact support for assistance, as the steps depend on your payroll setup.
What you can't turn off: Business Feed and Intuit Assist
The Business Feed panel and Intuit Assist notifications are part of the platform and don't have an off switch currently. If a suggestion appears, select X or No thanks to close it. If you want this option added, the most direct way to have your voice heard is through the product feedback channel.
