Question

How can I find my client in my client list when he has invited me to use his new program but I am still seeing his old program?

He used the Self-Employed program and chenged to Simple Start; but, while I received an invitation to his new program and it started to populate, it eventually disappeared. What's the solution?

You can check your QuickBooks Online Accountant client list to see if they’re inactive because upgrading to QuickBooks Simple Start creates a new company file. If so, you can activate them to restore the connection.

Here’s how:

  1. Navigate to the Clients menu and select Client list.
  2. Find the client, then under the Actions column, click Make active.

If the client does not appear on the list, you can ask them to resend the invitation. Once you receive it, you can accept it using an incognito or private browsing window. This ensures a fresh session free from your QuickBooks Self-Employed company data, allowing the new connection to complete successfully.
