How do add more space to a custom field ?

The Custom Fields in QuickBooks Online (QBO) are limited to thirty-one characters, including all spaces entered, Romano.

If you need to enter more than the maximum character limit, consider utilizing an additional custom field or using the Description, Message displayed on [transaction], or the Message displayed on statement fields of a transaction.

While we are considering adding this feature in future updates, I recommend submitting your suggestion directly to our product developers. It will enable them to explore the possibility of increasing the character limit for custom fields. Here’s how:

1. Go to the Gear icon.
2. Select Feedback.
3. Enter a brief description of your product suggestion.
4. Click Next to submit feedback.
