how do I disable "undeposited funds" in quickbooks online?

In QuickBooks Online (QBO), the option to turn off a UF account is unavailable. This is because it serves as a default holding area for funds that have not yet been deposited into your bank. Since your UF account is not working correctly, it usually indicates issues with how payments are recorded or deposited. To resolve this, please review your transactions and ensure that payments are linked to their corresponding deposits.

You won’t also need to use the UF account if you connect your bank and credit card accounts since QuickBooks will automatically pull in the relevant information from your bank. All you'll need to do is categorize these downloaded transactions accordingly.

If you would rather not use the UF account, you can directly select an account in the Deposit To field when you Receive Payment. This will directly affect your bank register. Thus, you don't need to create a bank deposit.

Once everything looks good, it’s best to regularly review and reconcile your accounts to ensure they always match your financial statements.
