Since the option to delete an account is unavailable, you can consider making the account Inactive. When you make an account inactive, the account will no longer appear in the list of accounts but this doesn't mean it has been deleted. To begin, these are the steps:
Go to Settings and select Chart of accounts.
Find the account you want to delete.
Select the Action dropdown and select Make inactive.
