Question

I have upgraded my iPhone. On the new one, it always errors when either snapping a receipt or uploading a picture of one from the image library

Before we dive in, could you share the exact error message you're seeing when trying to snap or upload a receipt? In the meantime, let's start by refreshing the app's data to resolve common issues with receipt capture.

Here's how:

  1. Open the app and go to the Menu.
  2. Tap All, then choose Intuit Account & Settings.
  3. Select Refresh Data, then click Refresh Now to confirm.

You can also clear or offload the app's storage data:

  1. Go to your device's Settings, hit Apps.
  2. Select QuickBooks, then tap Storage.
  3. Choose Offload the App.

If the issue persists, uninstalling and reinstalling the app should give you a fresh start with all the latest updates.

Alternatively, you can also upload receipts directly from your mobile browser by signing into QuickBooks Online. It's a great workaround to keep things moving while we get this sorted out.

Once you're back in, give receipt capture another try and let us know in the comments how it goes.
