I understand the need to amend the contractor's 1099 forms, austinlittle. Being able to submit ahead of time is crucial to ensure corrections are handled carefully. Let me share insights regarding this matter.

As per our payroll compliance team, filing of 1099-NEC and MISC amendment forms through QuickBooks Online will be available in early February 2024. You can always browse this guide for additional updates once instructions are accessible: Correct or change 1099s in QuickBooks.

Once everything's set up for filing amendments, you can correct and e-file corrected 1099s through the 1099 filings page in your account. Please note that corrections must be completed before the IRS's 1099 e-filing deadline.

In addition to that, if you consider printing and mailing copies of the corrected forms to your contractors, QuickBooks isn't supported to provide these for you. You must manually print and send these directly to your vendors.

Moreover, check out this reference to guide you in filing your federal state forms: File your state 1099 forms.

I'll always be around on this thread if there's anything else you need further assistance with when filing corrections to your 1099s. Just keep me posted below, so I can back you up. Stay safe and have a great weekend!
