Question

I've never used the efile for 1099s before. So I've efiled the 1099's, but does Quickbooks automatically file the 1096 also?

Thanks for joining the Community forum. Let me handle this concern for you. I'll impart information that could help clear things up.

If you're using QuickBooks Online to file your tax returns, you may have noticed that it doesn't provide Form 1096. However, it's important to note that if you file your tax returns electronically, you don't need to worry about Form 1096. The IRS doesn't require this form to be submitted when filing electronically. For more info Form 1096 and About Form 1096, Annual Summary and Transmittal of U.S. Information Returns
